Jotter (Handwriting Notepad) App Reviews

I will have to agree with the other reviews. This app is very responsive to writing and or drawing. Very very close to actual pen and paper. It has several different thicknesses for the pen and highlighter feature and an array of colors for both. Very useful and practical for capturing your handwriting and using the email function. No more pen and paper, just what I need for my iPad.

Jotter was designed to take handwritten notes, but it has such nice ink, I find myself using it for simple sketches more. For notes, you write big in the collapsible input area and it shrinks your writing down to fit a lot of words on a page. Ink comes in five pen sizes, marker or wash and 18 colors. Great for quick sketches. + controls are logical and dont take up much screen real estate + 18 color buttons, no annoying rainbow picker + fast pen response + export to Photos, mail, Twitter, Facebook or clipboard + notetaking in both landscape and portrait mode + note input automatically advances as you write - ink is a little soft, could more defined edges

Great handwriting app and if it also sync between iPad and iPhone will make this app number one .

Like many of the other reviewers, this has become my go l-to app for writing down notes, and even keeping a lot of my journal. At least my morning pages/free writing, I do in this app. There are some apps that come close, but for various reasons, get no cigar. The only reason I dont give this app five stars, is what also many people have mentioned: the lack of being able to put notes together either into one document, or into some kind of notebook or folder. That would make it perfect. If the developers add that, I will give it five stars. It would also be nice if there was some kind of sync function, either iCloud or dropbox. But truth is, I could do without that and still give it five stars if I could put things together as more than one page. In any case, if you want a really good handwriting app, this is my favorite (& I own many). The price is right, simple to use, nice UI, does what it says. I also like that the simple one page instruction, is written using the app on a document that theoretically if you wanted to, you could either add to or delete or overwrite. Thats how simple it is to use, you could actually put all these instructions on one page with a few little notes… And thats what they did: simple, practical and elegant… Just like the app itself.

I tried a few handwriting apps before I bought this one and Jotter is the best in my opinion.

This the perfect app for jotting down a quick note. The easy to use handwriting feature with all of its choices makes a dreary note taking session fun! I find it easier to use to gather my thoughts. Then later I have been known to type this info to another one of my apps which has more organizing features as well as syncing. Hopefully one day jot will join the cloud. But I still really enjoy it just the way it is.

I love Jotter when it works but since this last update it wont even open.

Glad to see this update! Was worried that this was an abandoned project in the US when I tried to find it again in the market. Now I have all of my notes I need for my finals again!

Hands down the best one out there .. and only a buck!! Very natural response when using a stylus. Perfect for jotting down a quick phone #, shopping list, etc.

Quick, snappy, and works for what it is. Love it for quick notes for later reference on my iPhone and now my iPad. Needs audio and graphics insert but its a quick note app thats all five stars.

This is the worst app ever the wrist guard doesnt work. You have all these marks all over your notes at the bottom it was a waste of $.99

Simple, basic sketch ressources do everything I need to take manual notes

This app performs well and in accordance with the description except for one small problem: the Save to Camera Roll always goes to Error and the note is never saved to the Camera Roll. This was true for earlier versions and remains true with the current update. If this issue were fixed, the app would be perfect!

Now that it syncs with both my iPad and iPhone, PERFECT!

This is a responsible, useful, stable, and delightful app. It is my daily go to app! The flow of handwriting is a pleasant experience. I use it all day, everyday! It is the only handwriting app that really is handwriting. (I own every notebook App- but there are two that I cant understand at all and so many malfunction and crash) No one should give this app a bad review for lack of features-it does everything it says it would do. This was a simple, functional app. The upgrade is terrible. It takes a long time to open the app, if it will open at all, and then often you cant get different note pages to load either. The icon and visual overhaul was unnecessary and not much of an improvement.

Good app, but it has been slowed down by the new splash screen that cannot be disabled.

I hate this new icon...
